Some more of Seattle.
My cousin’s friends invited us to sail across a lake (which I don’t know the name of) to get lunch. It might not even be called a lake.
Heading back to the city.
I think this is the same corner as : http://jtollan.files.wordpress.com/2011/06/mg_8546.jpg.
I decided to walk back after getting a bus journey one day. I didn’t know it would take me around 3 hours.
At Oktoberfest in Puyallup.
My cousin Mark trying ‘Hammerschlagen’.
Mayday and Dianne doing the chicken dance.
Mount Rainier is just visible in the distance.
‘Force’.
On the way to the Seattle Sounders FC stadium to watch a ‘soccer’ match. FC stands for ‘football club’.
No idea.
Kylee and the dogs having a nap on my bed.
At Red Mill Burgers. I recommend the bacon.
Kylee had heard that Barack OBama was to speak at a rally in the University of Washington. Luckily, it was just a couple of days before I left. We got up around 5am to join the queue. You can just make out where it ends.
The way it worked out; if we had arrived later, we would have been much closer.
Spot the pimp.
High five.
Eddie, Chloe and my cousin Ashley on my last night. We had macaroni cheese and played ‘Apples to Apples’. I definitely need to buy it at some point.
3rd attempt to upload, so hopefully it has worked. *edit* It didn’t work and deleted half of the photo’s. Cheers for looking.

I love seeing these Jonathan,
The ones that really piqued my interest are…..the car with the shadow of your car in the foreground seconds before the guardrail would disappear (I think of how you must have seen the shadow while riding then snapped the photo at just the right second); the cops on the corner with the woman mooning you as she tended to her kid; the neon 66 (I photographed that from several angles too so feel a connection to it); the hammerschlagen pictures (again mostly because I use to play it with friends in the mountains..fun, yet foggy memories-ha; the black and white of the black and white ladies standing with the shadows closing them in; the black and white of the lady on the street in the stream of light while the rest is pretty much shadowed…..
….and I love the pic of Kylee on the couch with her two dogs all cuddled and cozy next to her; the black and white with the two ladies in the distance crossing the street in their motorized cars is classic, I would have wanted to follow them and get a closer shot like the Beatles Abbey Road pic but then I’d feel like I was making fun of them so would have to strike up a conversation and get to know them, then send them a picture…some times that’s just too much effort; love the colors at red mills, I remember you talking fondly of the bacon…gotta try that place; love the silhoetted people at the UW field in the morning and how you waited until they were each framed by the fence sections..nice!; cool that you got to see our president; and the pic with eddie and ashley and chloe makes me smile…they all look so content and happy. Thanks for sharing these Jonathan!
Haha, thank you for the detailed comments Brian. Much appreciated.
nice stuff. you have incredible light there, i am jealous
the old guy about the cross the road, 66, and 2 ladies in the shadows are really gorgeous.
Yeah the light in Seattle was amazing. Could maybe have taken advantage of it a bit more. Cheers for the comment. Also been enjoying the work on your blog!
